Do you go out a lot?  And do you find yourself spending a lot of money on luxuries?

The thing is probably 50% of people that read this can say yes to those two questions.  Now what if you could do the same things you do now BUT for a little less cost?  Would that be of benefit to you?  If so then please read on....

1. Cut the cost of your fuel bills
As the global demand for power threatens to outstrip supply, prices are rising. But that doesn't mean you need to be ripped off. The market is a very competetive one and you will always find a better deal than what you are getting now! All you have to do is a little research into energy companies, give them a call or quick email for a price quote and see if it betters what you are already paying!  One of the best places to start is www.moneysupermarket.com/gas-and-electricity/.

2.  Save money with your phone bill!
We all say we will look into ways to save money, but when it comes down to it we never bother because we cant be bothered to look up competitiors!  Its time to stop being lazy and do what needs to be done!  Use the power of the interet.  All you have to do is go onto a search engine, type in phone suppliers or something along those lines and get some price quotes.  Nowadays a lot of companies do packages that may include your phone bill cost for free or something like that.  For instance virgin media do a package on tv, broadband and home phone line which may work out cheaper than paying for them individually!  It will take you half an hour just to get some price quotes and you can potentially save hundreds per year!

3.  Shopping
A lot of people today have a naughty habbit of buying things they dont need!  Ok,  its nice to have a few luxuries in life like chocolate or a dvd or something like that but there is no need to go overboard!  Try and cust back on the non-essentials each and every month.  I for one used to spend around £150-£200 a month on things i didnt need like cans of coke and chocolate.  Well i soon learned orange squash was better for me, cost less and lasted longer and as for chocolate,  its nice as a luxury but dont waste money on it if you dont have to!
Take a look in your cupboards and make a list of the things you need the most, daily essentials like milk, bread, pasta, drink, rice.  Well you get the meaning, and try to stick to that list.  Dont veer off into the "non-essential" isles of the supermarket.
